There are several meaningful ways to support students through the Niagara Foundation for Catholic Education, whether you choose an immediate gift or a longer-term planned contribution.
Ways to Give
- Monetary Donations Tax receipts will be issued for donations of $10 and over.
- Donations in memory of someone.
- Gift-in-Kind (furniture, stocks, securities, real estate, etc.) Subject to independent evaluation.
- Bequests
- Life Insurance Proceeds
Planned and Memorial Giving
Making a bequest through a will is a common and straightforward way to arrange a planned gift. A donor may wish to provide a specific sum or percentage of an estate designated for the Niagara Foundation for Catholic Education.
Another practical method of making a contribution is to make the NFCE a beneficiary of a life insurance policy. A tax receipt can be issued for the full cash surrender value of the policy and, if a donor chooses to take out a new policy naming the NFCE as a beneficiary, all premiums paid become tax deductible as donations.
Tax receipts are also given for gifts of stock and bonds or of real or personal property. The NFCE can also be designated as a recipient of memorial gifts while making funeral arrangements.
Guidance and Resources
The NFCE office will be pleased to assist in arranging any information prospective donors may request and will also work with their professional advisors such as lawyers, investment advisors, or insurance agents.
